Dr. Zoe Filyk completed her Family Medicine residency training with the University of Alberta -Rural Physician North Program in 2003. She trained in hospitals and clinics all over Alberta including Red Deer, Lacombe, Jasper, Sylvan Lake, Rimby, Hinton, Three Hills and Calgary before starting to practice in Calgary.
Working in smaller hospitals and clinics gave her the opportunity to practice a wide range of medicine including family medicine, emergency medicine, ambulatory care, surgery, paediatrics, geriatrics, obstetrics and community medicine among others.
Dr. Filyk continues to practice family medicine, and does prenatal care , maternity care, IUD insertions, and joint injections. She also performs minor surgical procedures and travel medicine consultations and vaccinations.
She is actively involved with the Calgary Headache Assessment and Management Program (CHAMP), as a referral centre for migraine headache treatments.
Dr. Filyk is actively involved with the University of Calgary residency Program in Family Medicine, training resident doctors and medical students at Westside Medical. Dr. Filyk is also a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Calgary as well as a Community Preceptor at the University of Calgary Family Medicine Program.
Dr. Filyk is a member of the Canadian College of Family Physicians, the Canadian Medical Association, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, West Central Primary Care Network.

If you are seeking to book as a new patient you must call us first at 403-686-3628 or through the online contact form so that we can set you up in the system. You would then be able to book subsequent appointments online.
After booking your appointment you will receive at least 3 reminders by either email, text or voice message. When you receive a reminder please confirm your appointment. You have 24 hours to respond to am email reminder.
Dr. Filyk does have a limited number of same-day Emergency appointments available for patients that are extremely ill or those requiring urgent review of test results. Emergency appointments can only be made by phone.
