Family Medicine

Westside Medical is a Family Medicine Clinic in Calgary Alberta . Westside Medical is a member of the Calgary West Central Primary Care Network (PCN). We offer comprehensive care in family medicine, Chronic Disease management and Behavioral Health counseling.

Dr. Zoe Filyk offers family medicine, provides  prenatal care, IUD insertions, joint injections, prenatal care and mental health.  She is actively involved with the Calgary Headache Assessment and Management Program (CHAMP) as a referral centre for migraine headache treatments. In addition, Dr. Filyk accepts referrals for minor procedures and  dermatology.  Dr. Filyk is an Associate Clinical Professor at the Cumming School of Medicine at The University of Calgary  and Dept. of Family Medicine.

Dr Sally Talbot-Jones received her Bachelor of Science in Infectious Disease and Immunology from the University of Alberta. At the University of Alberta, Dr. Talbot-Jones also completed one year of research in Kidney Transplant rejection.

Dr Alexia Schneider She has been working as a Family doctor in Okotoks and Calgary since 2013, also previously working at the High River Low Risk Obstetric Group and Urgent Care in Okotoks. Dr Schneider enjoys caring for all members of a patient’s family and has a special interest in Prenatal care, Pediatrics and Contraception counseling, as well as Preventative Health and mental health.

Dr. Elizabeth Nguyen completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at the University of Ottawa. She went on to earn her MD at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. After completing her residency training at Queen’s University, she practiced in Ontario for 3 years before moving to Calgary in 2018. Dr. Elizabeth Nguyen is a Locum doctor for Dr Alexia Schneider , she is accepting new patient and seeing walk in patients.

Dr Sally Talbot-Jones received her Bachelor of Science in Infectious Disease and Immunology from the University of Alberta. At the University of Alberta, Dr. Talbot-Jones also completed one year of research in Kidney Transplant rejection.

Dr Vincent Vong  is a lifelong Calgarian and graduated with a BA in Sociology from the U of C. After working a few years with various non-profit and charity groups, he returned to the University of Calgary and completed a combined MD/MBA degree and subsequently a residency program in family medicine. He believes in offering a broad spectrum of care to patients’ of all backgrounds and in all of life’s stages. 

Dr Lynn Peterson is a Locum doctor for Dr Alexia Schneider, meaning that she is covering Dr. Schneider’s patients while she is away on leave for the months of September to December 2019.
