Dr. Tatiana Josephy

Dr. Tatiana Josephy will be taking on new patients at the Westside Medical Clinic. She has a general practice for families and also has specific interests in women's health, contraceptive care, perimenopause/menopause management, mental health, and obesity management. More generally, she loves helping people feel healthy, vibrant and strong for the long-term. Dr. Josephy grew up in Calgary, then did her undergraduate studies at Princeton University. She completed her medical school degree at the University of Chicago and her residency at the University of Calgary.  Prior to starting her medical training, she had a 10-year career in the tech sector in New York and San Francisco, and is fascinated by the ways in which AI will shape and improve medicine in the future. Dr. Josephy will be sharing her practice with another doctor. Together, they will be providing 5 days/week coverage. She is looking forward to meeting you for a meet and greet while space is available!

Dr. Oluronke (Ronke) Babatunde

Dr Ronke received her medical degree from the University of Alberta after completing an undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto. She embarked on a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Calgary but pivoted to complete a Family Medicine residency instead. She has a special interest in women’s sexual and reproductive health and care of the elderly.

Dr Ronke enjoys being a family doctor because she believes that primary care is the indispensable backbone of a community’s overall health. She enjoys promoting healthy behaviours, building relationships with patients and their families, and learning with them while providing continuity of care. Outside of work, she loves running, hiking and spending time with her family and friends. 

Dr. Kari Parsons

Dr Kari Parsons is a Family Physician Accepting New Patients in Calgary. Dr Parsons completed a BSc in Biotechnology (University of Manitoba), a Master of Science in Neuroscience (University of Calgary), and worked as a Research Assistant in neuroimaging (Alberta Children’s Hospital).  

Dr Kari completed medical school at the University of Manitoba, before returning to Calgary for her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Calgary. 

Dr. Emina Avdic

Originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Emina Avdic was raised in Calgary while her family navigated the difficulties of adjusting to life in a new country. She completed both her medical degree and Family Medicine residency at the University of Calgary. Dr. Avdic was drawn to Family Medicine as she wanted to form longterm and meaningful relationships with her patients. She enjoys practicing comprehensive primary care including various in-office procedures and also has a special interest in mental health care. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, redecorating her home, and spoiling her pet cat, Rocky."

Dr. Zoe Filyk

Dr. Zoe Filyk completed her residency training in family medicine at the University of Alberta, Rural Alberta North Program. Prior to that she completed a  2 year Internal Medicine rotation at the Foothills Hospital. She then moved to back home to Calgary. She enjoys a full scope of practice with an emphasis on women’s health, procedures including IUDs, chronic migraine headaches and  complex chronic disease management. In her free time Dr Filyk enjoys running, reading, and spending time with family and friends and her dog Boris. 

Dr. Sara Kunneman

While living in Dallas, Sara met a charming Canadian who shared her love of adventures in the mountains. In 2010 Dr. Kunneman moved to Calgary to join her Canadian husband.

Since making Calgary her home, she has enjoyed practicing Family Medicine in the outpatient setting. She takes pride in seeing patients of all ages and complexities, and she believes that mental health and preventative care play an important role in the care of her patients.
